Factories for mass production of passenger car were built one after another during 1959 through 1960, reaching 145,000 cars sales in 1960 with 36% share out of total sales of 410,000 cars.

Many new gasoline stands were built in urban area during 1961, changing business style from simple gasoline sales to service station style.
Empire Motor started to cultivate these service stations where spare parts of some kinds can be bought.

1972 was a year of epoch making year for Japanese car industry. From this year on, personal passenger car exceeded business-use passenger car.
Having forecasted such a new era of motorization together with changing economic structure of Japan then backed up by higher economic growth following 2nd Ikeda cabinet started in late 1960, drastic organizational change was made in 1961 including newly creating Planning Div., and Overseas Div., and forth.
New head office called Empire Building was built and completed in May 1972 at Hacchobori to cope with growing and expanding business.
1300 people from all over Japan and abroad celebrated it at an opening party.
